Pre-Columbian, Mayan and Aztec Art Project
Students researched Pre-Columbian, Mayan and Aztec Art. Furthermore, students took a field trip to the Metropolitan Museum of Art to visit their collection. Working with techniques from this time period, students created vessels, pottery and artifacts that were inspired by the ones they research. Students presented their completed work and explained the historical and cultural significance of their pieces. These samples are from a course that rendered college credit from Bard College.
